1816 Great Britain Part Entire cd Linton-Edinburgh w date stamp Part Entire with cancelled with a Framed Orange APR 12 1816 date stamp on front, and a Framed LINTON 413 E cancel also on front. On the front is also a manuscript postal charge of 6 or 8 and a 1/2. The 1/2 is for the standard Scottish 1/2d tax inplemented in 1813, but the manuscript charge is poorly drawn, and looks more like a 6 that an 8 despite the fact that Linton, Scotland is around 50 miles from Edinburgh. Entire writing on back has been removed. Entire has seal residue on front from opening, some tearing on back from letter removal, some vertical and horizontal creasing thorugh entire, some tearing on top, some age wear and marking on both sides, and some general wear to entire.
