1841 Great Britain 1p stamped Cover sent to Falkirk w Maltese Cross cd Cover with a light pink preprinted 1d QV stamp on front cancelled with a Black Maltese Cross cancel on stamp. Cover sent to Falkirk, Great Britain, with a Maltese Cross 19 JY 19 1841 date cancel on back, and a orange brown receiving cancel on back dated to JY21 1841. Cover has no indication of sent from location. Cover has been opened, and back flap has been restuck down. Cover has some damage to back flap from opening, mainly some tear damage, some age wear on both sides, some tearing on top edge, some marking on edges, and some general wear on both sides. Nice early use of a Black Maltese Cross.
