1849 Great Britain Mourning Cover ties Red Penny Stamp w Hedge C Var Mourning Cover with a Penny Red Stamp on front with a Hedge C Variety in the bottom left corner. Stamp cancelled with a (805) 10 Bar Duplex cancel on stamp, as well as a TORQUAY OC 14 1849 C cancel on back. The address is a Vineyard Near ? Park, and cover has a Totness transit cancel on back dated to OC 15 1849, and a ? Church cancel on back, the date of which is unreadable. Cover has been opened at back flap, and still retains its wax on back. Slight wear to edges and corners with some marking on both sides, and some age wear/toning on both sides, mainly on edges.
