1853 Great Britain Entire Red Penny Stamp w Star re-entry cd Leith-Markinch Folded Letter with a Red Penny Stamp on front cancelled with a Framed Red Brown JAN W 17 1853 cancel on back, a Brown LEITH 17 JA 1853 cancel on back, and a (221) 18 Bar Duplex Cancel on Stamp. The Stamp has a Re-entry at the star box on the top left hand corner.  There is also a D Thom and Co Leith Cancel on back of cover. Letter sent to Markinch, UK with a receiving cancel on back dated t JA 18 1853. There is some noticeable tearing at back from where gum has been removed from letter, both on the inside and outside of the letter. Slight wear to edges and corners with some marking on both sides, mainly on front, a toning spot on front of letter, and some creasing and wrinkling on back of cover, mainly near tears.
