Cover with a Violet 6p QV Stamp on front. Stamp has been cut to size. Stamp is cancelled with an illegable duplex cancel. Cover is possibly from Exmouth, GB. Cover also has a 2 Tax cd on front. Cover sent to Otago, New Zealand, with an NB 4 JU 1855 transit cancel on back, a Exmouth JU 3 1855 transit cancel on back, a Nelson SP 14 1855 transit cancel on front, and a receiving cancel on front dated to JA 14 1856. Cover has been opened at back flap. Cover has some evident toning on both sides, some marking and age wear on both sides, some tearing damage to back flap, some scuffing and mild creasing on edges and corners, and some general wear. Cover is SG reference 60, and is quite rare.
