1871 Great Britain Cover + Letters ties 2 stamps cd Dublin-London Cover with a pair of 1d Reddish Brown Pl 139 QV Stamps on front cancelled with a Framed DUBLIN JY 11 71 186 Diamond Duplex cancel on stamps. Cover comes with letters, one of which is to the Jemmitt Duke Esq, regarding payment of a debt from Mr Robinson. There is also a letter from said Mr Robinson enclosed. Cover originally sent to the Care of Roger Duke Esq, in the London GPO, but was redirected to a different section of London. This redirect was performed contrary to any standard regulations as an abuse of power and position by Roger Duke. Cover has receiving cancels on back dated to JY 12 71, and has been opened at back flap. Cover has severe tear and general damage to back flap from opening, some creasing and scuffing on edges, some age wear and mild toning on both sides, some marking on both sides, and some general wear. Interesting Item.
