1878 Great Britain Cover ties 2p Stamp cd London WC District-Carlisle Cover with a 2p Blue perfed QV stamp on front cancelled with a LONDON WC ZB NO 11 78 7 Bar Duplex (WC 9, which is type 9DIO duplex cancel used from May 1871 to July 1883) Cancel on stamp. Cover sent to Carlisle, UK with a receiving cancel on back dated to NO 12 78. Cover has been opened at top edge. Slight wear to edges and corners with some tearing on back flap from opening, a tear spot on top edge, some noticeable marking on both sides, and some creasing on bottom edge of cover.
