1901 Australia Postcard-Boer War Monument ties 1p Stamp cd Lyndoch Preprinted Postcard with a Stamped 1d QV Brown Stamp on front of card cancelled with a Framed LYNDOCH NO 11 01 cancel on stamp. The card is interesting, as it talks about the erection of a monument to commemorate those who were lost in South Africa during the Boar War. The journey of this card can only be speculated due to its complexity, however it is believed that the card was first sent to Tanunda, with a receiving cancel on back dated to NO 11 01, redirected to Rowlands, with a receiving cancel on the same day, redirected to Adelaide, with a transit PO Adelaide cancel on back dated to NO 12 01, and a receiving cancel on the same day, and finally redirected again to Tanunda, where there is no cancel to show this redirection. Card has some creasing on corners and edges, some age wear on both sides, and some toning on back of card.
