1902 NSW Australia Cover ties 6X1/2d DelaRue&1d Sheild stamp Sydney to Suva Fiji Dbl Rate 6X1/2d Blue Green DelaRue stamps (1 damaged at top) and single 1d Rose carmine Sheild stamp (Die 2) at top at front cancelled SYDNEY AU 13 02 ((N.S.W.)). Sent to Suva, Fiji. Rate paid of 4d was double the 1/2 to 1 ounce rate applied from 18 November 1874. Sent on steamship "Birksgate". The ship travelled to Fiji by way of Noumea with SUVA FIJI 25 AUG 02 receiving cancel at back. Cover has been neatly opened at back (Backflap mainly restuck down).
