1916 Australia Active Service Cover cd Field Post Office 15W-S. Preston On Active Service Cover cancelled with a Framed double ringed FIELD POST OFFICE 8 AU 16 15W cancel on front. This cancel is for the 15th Australian Brigade with the 5th Division, which was at Flanders, Belgium at the time. Cover has a Note on left side that the cover will not require censorship checks from a dedicated censor. Cover has an informative sheet denoting information surrounding the cancel. Cover sent to South Preston, VIC, Australia, and has been opened at top and side edges. Due to this, caution is advised when handling this cover. Cover has some scuffing and creasing on edges and corners, some tearing on top edge, a vertical crease through middle, some age wear on both sides, mainly near edges, and some mild toning on both sides.
