1918 Australia Postcard-Charleroi Station cd Field Post Office 75-Fremantle Censor On Active Service Postcard with a picture of "Charleroi South Station" on front of card. Card is cancelled with a Framed double ringed FIELD POST OFFICE 75 DE 26 18 cancel on back. This cancel was with the 7th Australian Brigade at Marcinelle, Somme at the time, and the address suggests the writer was with the 28th Battalion, but is likely on leave in Belgium. Card also has a Passed by Censor No. 3210 cachet on back. Card sent to Fremantle, WA, Australia. Card has some scuffing and mild creasing to edges and corners, some age wear on back, and some minor general wear to both sides.
