Cover with a 1P Carmine British Forces in Egypt Letter Stamp on back cancelled with a black dotted diamond cancel. Cover also has a Framed Inner Bar Type 2 MPO ?? DE 35 ALEXANDRIA cancel on front, and a POSTAGE PREPAID EGYPT 3 Red Double Ringed Cancel on front. Cover sent to Chatham, Kent, UK, and has been opened at top edge. Cover has some tearing at top edge from opening, some toning on top right corner, some scuffing on edges and corners, some creasing through middle and some general wear to both sides. Stanley Gibbons Reference No. A9 as measured perfs 13.5x14 and as per lighter carmine.
