1939 Tonga Canoe Mail Cover ties 3 stamps cd Niuafoou-Melbourne
Registered Tin Can Canoe Mail Island Cover with all 3 stamps from the 1938 The 20th Anniversary of the Reign of Queen Salote series all on front cancelled with a Framed NIUAFOOU 28 AU 39 TONGA Cancel on stamps. Cover also has an Informative cachet from Commander G B Morgan, a Tin Can Canoe Island cachet, a Blechdosen Post co-ordinate cachet on front, a Tin Can Mail cachet on front, a Registered cachet on front, and multiple Tin Can cachets on back in various languages. Cover sent to Melbourne, Australia, with a GPO Sydney transit cancel on back dated to 6 MY 40, and a receiving cancel on back dated to 7 MY 40. Cover has not been opened. Cover has some scuffing on edges and corners, some age wear on both sides, and some general wear to both sides.
