Airmail Cover commemorating the First Airmail Flight from Noumea to New Zealand. Cover has 4.50Fr Airmail Stamp on front cancelled with a circular NOUMEA 18 JUIL 40 cancel on stamp and cover. Cover is for the Inaugural through service to NZ by Pan- American Clipper. Cover sent to Dunedin NZ with circular transit cancel on back from Auckland dated 18JLY40. Cover has some toning spots, and some mild general wear to both sides.
