1941 Egypt Airmail Cover ties 7 stamps cd Alexandria-Fareham Airmail Cover with 4 Stamps of varying price from the Airplane over Pyramids of Giza series, and 3 stamps, 2 with the price 1M and 1 with the price 2M all from the Investiture of King Farouk series. Stamps are all on front, and are cancelled with a Framed 21 SEP 41 ALEXANDRIA cancel on stamps and cover. Cover has an airmail label on front, and a Censorship Dept M cachet on stamps. Cover initially sent to Welling, Kent, Engaland, with a Cairo transit cancel dated to 23 SEP 41, and a Bexleyheath, Kent transit cancel on back dated to 7 NO 41, but was rerouted to H.M.S Collingwood, Fareham, Hants, UK. Cover has been opened at top edge. Cover has some evident damage to top edge and back flap from opening, some creasing and scuffing on edges and corners, mainly top right edge, a notable vertical and horizontal crease through centre of cover, some toning spots on front, and some general wear to both sides.
