1947 Italy Airmail Cover ties 10 Stamps cd Rome Central Post-South Yarra Airmail Cover with 8 Stamps from the Proclamation of the Republic series, and 2 stamps from the Democracy series on front, all cancelled with a Framed ROMA CENTRO CORREOS 13 6 47 21 cancel on stamps. Cover has a Purple RACCOMANDATA cachet on front. Cover sent to South Yarra, Victoria, Australia, with a Rome transit cancel on back, a Melbourne Registered Transit cancel on back dated to 25 JE 47, and a receiving cancel on back dated the same. Cover has been opened at left edge. Slight wear to edges and corners with some creasing on top edge and corners, some minor marking on back, and some toning on top right corner of cover, and near stamp edges.
