1948 Germany Joint Occupation Zone Cover 12 stamps cd Schotmar-Hamburg Tadajewski Joint Allied Occupation Zone Cover with 4 12Pfg Grey Working Man Stamps, and 8 24pfg Brown Working man stamps on front all cancelled with a Framed Double Ringed Bar SCHOTMAR 22 6 48 cancels on stamps. Cover sent to Hamburg, Germany, and has been opened at right edge. Covers like this from Germany during the period between 1945 and 1948 often have a large amount of stamps due to the poor economic conditions the country was enduring during occupation. These conditions would be mitigated by the 1950s, specifically during 1948 with an economic miracle. Cover has some tearing damage on right edge from opening, some scuffing on edges and corners, some age wear and marking on both sides, and some general wear to both sides.
