1948 Great Britain Airmail Cover ties 6 stamps cd London-Sydney, Aust Registered Airmail Cover with a preprinted Brown 5.5d KGVI stamp on front, and has been uprated with a Greenish Olive 2/- 6p KGVI stamp, a 1/2d Dull Green KGVI stamp, a 3d Purple Violet KGVI stamp, and 2 Ochre 1/- KGVI stamps all on front. Stamps are cancelled wih a Framed LONDON CHANCERY LANE 17 12 1948 cancel on stamps. Cover also has an airmail label, and a regsitered London label on front, as well as a Oval Purple LONDON WC2 Chancery Lane cachet on back. Cover sent to Sydney, NSW, Australia, with a receiving cancel on back dated to 26 DE 48. Cover has been opened at right edge. Cover has some evident damage to right edge from opening, some evident creasing and wear to edges and corners, and some general wear to both sides of cover.
