1948 Italy Airmail Exhbtn Cover ties 2 stamps cd Milano Ferrovia Corpus 
International Philatelic Exhibition of Basel Imaba Airmail Cover with an 8L Green Democracy stamp and a 25L Orange Red Express Stamp both on front cancelled with a Framed MILANO FERROVIA CORPUS 29 8 48 cancel on stamps. This cancel is for the Milano Central Railway Station. Cover also has an Airmail label on front, a 1948 IMABA BASEL cachet on top left corner, a MILANO BASILEA PER IMABA cachet on front, and a MILANO-BASILEA cinderella on front, all commemorating the exhibition and the flight between Milano and Basilea. Interestingly there is also a Flight Interupted in Locarno cachet on front. Cover is sent to Basel, Italy, with a receiving cancel on back dated to 29 VIII 48. Cover has been opened at back flap. Cover has a tear on left side, some scuffing on edges and corners, some age wear on both sides, some hinge remnants on back, and some general wear to both sides.
