1948 North Yemen Cover ties 4 stamps cd Hodeida-Auckland w cinderellas Registered Cover with 4 varying stamps from the 1940 Ornaments series on front cancelled with a Framed 15 1 48 HODEIDA cancel on stamps. Hodeida is now the Al Hudaydah Governorate. Cover has a registered cachet on front that is quite faded, and 2 Tydol Flying A WW2 cinderellas on back, numbers 10 and 33. Cover sent to Auckland, NZ via Australia, with an Aden transit cancel on back dated to 26 JAN 48, and a Maguia transit cancel on back, and a Sana'a transit cancel on back dated to 21 1 48. Cover has been opened at right edge. Number 33 cinderella has some damage to corner from opening, some evident tearing and general damage to right edge from opening, some creasing on corners, edges and through middle of cover, some tearing on top edge, some age wear and toning on both sides, and some general wear to both sides.
