1951 Virgin Islands West Indies College FDC ties 12c Stamp cd Road Town Registered FDC commemorating the Opening of the University College of the West Indies with a 12c Multicoloured commemorative stamp on front cancelled first day of issue with a Framed ROAD TOWN 16 FE 51 cancel on stamp. Cover also has a Registered ROAD TOWN cachet on front, a blue cross through middle of cover, and a Commemorative first day of issue cachet on front. Cover sent to Southampton, England, and has been opened at back flap. Slight wear to edges and corners with some minor tearing on back of cover from opening, some age wear on back flap from gum, and some mild marking on both sides of cover.
