1953 Great Britain Registered Airmail Letter 6 stamps cd London-Middletown Registered Airmail Letter with a 1/2d Orange Red KGVI stamp, a 1.5d Yellowish Green KGVI stamp, a 6d Violet KGVI stamp, 2 8d Red Carmine KGVI stamps, and a 1Sh Ochre KGVI Stamp all on front cancelled with a Framed REGISTERED 6 MCH 53 LONDON cancel on stamps. Cover also has a Registered label on front, an Airmail label on front, a Passed By British Philatelic Assn Signed cachet on front, and a Passed by US Customs Philadelphia cachet on front. Cover sent to Middletown, PA, USA, with a New York transit cancel on back dated to MAR 8 1953, and a receiving cancel on back dated to MAR 10 1953. Cover has been opened at left side. Cover has some evident scuffing and creasing on edges and corners, mainly on top edges and corners, and some general wear to both sides.
