1953 Netherlands Airmail Cover ties 3 Stamps cd Luchthaven-Schiphol Cover commemorating the Christchurch Air Race with 2 25c Blue Grey Airmail stamps, and a 30c Violet Queen Juliana stamp all on front cancelled with a framed double ringed inner bar LUCHTHAVEN-AMSTERDAM-SCHIPHOL7 X 1953 cancel on stamps. Cover also has a Handicap Race London-Christchruch cachet on front, and a Retour l'Expedition cachet on front, as well as a Buy Health Stamps for Health Camps cachet on back. Cover sent to Christchurch, New Zealand with a receiving cancel on back dated to 11 OCT 1953 cancel on back. Cover has been opened at back flap. Cover has some mild scuffing on edges and corners, some mild toning on stamp edges and corners, and some general wear to both sides.
