1974 Australia Airmail Registered Cover ties 3 Stamps cd Mackay, QLD Registered Airmail Cover with a $1 Dark Carmine Matthew Flinders Stamp, a 30c Multicoloured Mammals stamp, and a 5c Multicoloured Scenes from Life of the First Australian Immigrants Stamp all on front cancelled with a Framed MACKAY 13 DE 74 QLD-AUST cancel on stamps. Cover also has a registered label on front, a Til Returpostkontoret label on front, a Retour cachet on front, and a Not collected label on back. Cover originally sent to Ostergarten, Kopenhavn, Denmark, but was returned to sender. Cover has a Bureau des Rebuts Oval Kovenhavn cachet on back dated to 26 JULI 1974, and a Stromstad transit cancel on back dated to 20 6 74. Cover has been opened at top and side edges. Some evident wear to cover, with some creasing on corners, some creasing through middle of cover, some age wear on both sides and on stamp edges, and some minor toning on both sides.
